With another stupendous failure for 2012′s NaNoWriMo and the cancelling of Script Frenzy, I’ve decided that it wouldn’t be a bad idea to start planning for 2013′s NaNo. I’ve begun to run through a self-imposed exercise where, once a week,  I would write the first chapter of whatever story or concept had popped into my already over cluttered brain. Some very interesting things have come out of those exercises.

The story that has captured the most of my attention is an epic scale Sci-Fi yarn and just from the original idea, I have laid out the possibility of *drum roll* three complete books! That’s pretty hefty for me, but I like where it’s going. That being said, I’m outlining and getting my feet wet with writing a few chapters ahead of time (don’t worry, I’ll still be able to make 50k words in Nov., as I’ve got a plethora of characters and intrigues).

I’m excited about how this is going. Something else I have decided is, if I fail to reach goal this year, then I will spend the next year finishing, editing and rewriting all the NaNo’s where I did not reach goal. Call it punishment, masochistic tendencies, whatever…I can take the abuse.
